Elton John's contagious energy is unique. Derek's almost savant-like musical talents and range are wonderful. Susan's voice is beautiful, and her introductions are fantastic. Mike's voice is extraordinary. Derek needs to be aware that the audience would appreciate a few words of thanks and introduction. Yes, Derek is in a musical-zone, yet his avoidance of acknowledging his fans is almost rude. Between each song/set, there should at LEAST be a few seconds to introduce the featured singer and/or player (drummer, trumpeters, etc.). Mike Mattison & Susan were featured in an amazing song (I Want To See You Smile), and after the song was over, Mike retreated to his 'perch,' and the Band went right into another song. No mention of Mike & Susan's performance meant the audience had no opportunity to show their appreciation.
